World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

Item upgrades allow players to raise the item level of equippable weapons and armor. This increases the stats and may also include buffs or rerolls to an affix.

It is important to remember that although you can upgrade your magic and common equipment, it's generally not worth the effort. Rare and unique gear will quickly outclass upgraded magic and common gear.

Cost

When a player upgrades an item, they must spend Gold to do so. The cost of upgrading an item depends on its current level and type of upgrade selected. Upgrades to weapons are typically cheaper than upgrades for armor because weapons have lower requirements. The amount of Gold required increases when the item is upgraded to an upper level.

Upgraded items also come with upgraded stats that will improve its performance in various ways. This can include increasing its attack power or critical strike chance. In addition an upgraded item could be able to offer additional buffs to the unit it is equipped with. These upgrades can be used to boost the overall strength of a unit or individual unit, and could significantly impact the gameplay.

Items can be upgraded at any item upgrader NPC in the game. Generally, these NPCs are located in major cities or questing areas. Players can also find item upgraders when they visit dungeons with high-level bosses and by chatting with NPCs in their faction's garrisons.

The World of Warcraft item upgrade system allows players to increase the level of their weapons, armor, and trinkets. This process is similar to the reforging process used in Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor. However, instead of using currency, players need to visit an upgrader for their item to complete the process.

Item upgrades can be costly, particularly when it is related to armor and weapons. Based on the upgrade track you choose, each item level increase can cost Crests or Valorstones. The cost can be prohibitive for those who do not have the funds or are unwilling to grind.

Fortunately the game lets players reroll an upgraded item with an exclusive tool within the menu of items. This option exchanges the upgraded item for the level 1 version which comes with an additional set of bonus effects. This is useful to improve the roll of items that have already been upgraded. Requirements

Based on the kind of item, you will need one or more Power Dices (Dice 6 is available from monsters 21+ and Giants while Dice 12 is droppable from Bosses). You will also require different amounts of Minerals, Erons and Giants.

Time is a factor.

Items upgrades can be used to boost the power of your gear and ship without the need to level them. Although upgrading isn't inexpensive, it's an effective way to boost your stats without having spend a lot of time in combat. By selecting the item and pressing the green button that has a rerolling arrow, a player can reroll it to create an upgradeable item upgrading. This will change the layout of the item's window and allow players to select up to six items to "recycle". The item that is recycled will be exchanged with a level 1 item of the same type. Recycled items won't keep their status, nor will the resources used to upgrade it.

The maximum level of upgrade for an item is determined by the item's level and its quality. Rare and Epic items can be upgraded up to level nine, whereas common items can only be upgraded up to level six. Upgrades to items are added to the base statistics of the item, meaning that they won't increase after a certain amount.
