However, levers don't create energy. Levers increase the force by making small amounts of effort applied over a lengthy distance into greater amounts of force that are applied over shorter distances. Levers are used to lift heavy objects and transport massive amounts of cargo. The lever principle is also used in everyday tools like crowbars. Lever/Pad

Lever pad handles are a form of door handle made from UPVC that have levers on both sides that operate the multipoint lock. They are available in a variety of variations & finishes and are suitable for a variety of materials including UPVC, Aluminium & Timber doors. They are sold as a pair for the outer and inner door, with screws and spindles included. They are available both hand- and non-handled versions to suit different users.

They are typically used for new builds and can be installed to replace doors made of upvc. They are usually operated by lifting up the levers to throw all of the multipoint locks, and turning the key to close and unlock. They offer some extra security when compared to standard lever door handles since the locking mechanism can only be gained by entering the door with a key unless the door is deadlocked.

They are not as safe as a cylinder lock however they are an affordable way to increase the security of your home. The only downside is that they do not offer the same level of protection like a cylinder lock and therefore don't block access to the home if the door is left open.

This type of operation requires that the internal lever handle and the external pad handle be attached to the same lock case. It could be a simple replacement of the current uPVC handle, but it may also require a new lock case or a new set to handle furniture.

These levers/movable pad handles are suitable for uPVC doors and come with a slide bearing that is maintenance-free fixing lugs, spring cassettes and fixing lugs included. The handles have a euro-profile cut out, and can be fitted to various uPVC or wood doors.
