Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Mulliner, Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding unit, has designed a unique keycase to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the brand. It is made of Dark Stained Burr Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it includes a fluttering 'B' paperweight, a set keys, and a brochure with never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre images.

Aesthetics

Bentley is a company that takes its aesthetics seriously. It is evident in the precise location of its quilting the choice of leather sourced from by-products of cattle, the timber from forests that are sustainably managed and the innovative patterns on its levers. When you drive by a car like the Continental GT W12, its beautiful sculptural design is highlighted by carefully curated lighting.

The Continental GT is Bentley's most sophisticated open-top vehicle. The rear tonneau of the Continental GT, for instance it was the largest piece ever of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

It is this unique design, craftsmanship and attention to detail that has established bentley car keys as the world's most sought-after car brand. Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary this year, a century after it was established. The marque, currently owned by Volkswagen on its own after years of tense relations with BMW, has planned a range of special launches and events to mark the occasion. The marque planned a variety of special occasions and launches to mark the milestone event before planning for a pandemic became a top priority.

Design

Bentley is known for its extravagant and luxurious automobiles, but even the keys are made to stand out. The Bentayga Key is made of sterling silver and features the large B' logo to signal to everyone that you're a Bentley. It also has the years 1919 and 2019 to celebrate the company's centenary.

The Mulsanne was redesigned and developed by Bentley Mulliner, to be the ultimate Grand Touring car. It comes with two pairs of rear seats that were designed to be reminiscent of luxury private aviation that provide passengers with unbeatable comfort and security. A custom heating, ventilation and air conditioning system was designed to provide each passenger with the ideal climate control setting.

The Mulsanne comes with a twin turbocharged 6.75 litre W12 engine that generates 560bhp and 479lb-ft of torque. This amazing power is coupled by a brand new suspension system which provides Bentley's renowned quiet ride.

In celebration of its Centenary, Bentley introduced a custom-designed specification called the Centenary Specification for vehicles built in 2019. The cabin features cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold throughout. The Bentley Wings on the headrests and seats are stitched in Centenary Gold, adding to the sense of celebration. A bespoke Bentley key case is also included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key has two buttons: one that opens the trunk, and another which starts the vehicle. It also has a switch that can switch on the parking break. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors when parking in a tight spot. This feature makes it easier to get in and out of your car.

The key is constructed from vegetable tanned leather. It takes over two days to craft each one. It is hand cut shape, sewn, sealed and polished to create the highest-quality finish. It is light and compact and will fit the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is akin to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key, but it feels much heavier and has a premium feel.

It also has Secure-A-Key that helps to prevent theft of keys without keypads. The device is inserted into the remote control fob, and then shuts it off when the key has not been used for a few minutes. It blocks thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices which can be used to open and start the car.

Bentley's unique design reflects the company's values that include high-quality craftsmanship, engineering expertise and the latest technologies. Over 4,000 employees are employed at its Crewe headquarters, where they are responsible for the design, development, and production of Bentley automobiles. Personalisation

Bentley's Mulliner division lets customers create their own car. The "mood station" lets guests pick images that inspire them. They can choose anything from scenic vistas and sporting events. Every time a choice is made, the pattern that emerges is the model preference for color, style and design for the bespoke Bentley.

The guests receive a key case made by hand and containing the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. Keys can also be fitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps which light the door's opening pathway with the owner's name or logo when they make their way towards the vehicle.

bentley continental key fob claims it takes about 500 man-hours to craft and put together the typical Mulsanne. The key to this time-consuming effort is a deliberate decision to take advantage of modern technology. Instead of using a machine to place the perfectly matched cross-stitched leather seats workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. Drivers have to park their cars manually, not using the built-in sensors to direct them to perpendicular and parallel spots.

The event also saw Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization capabilities using one particular example that was the Mulsanne W.O. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays homage to the founder William Osler Bentley. The limited-edition cars come with an exclusive key that shows a slice of the 1930 8 Liter's crankshaft.
