Items that are upgraded are components that can be put into armor, weapons or trinkets to provide a bonus. They typically have more cost and require that the item be at an appropriate level.

Upgrades are rarely worthwhile for items with high requirements. This is particularly applicable to items that don't roll with a lot of variation like Eth titans.

Glyphs

After reaching level 50 in Diablo 4, Blizzard's action-RPG changes its focus from its simplified campaign into the final game. This is the time when things start to change, with players pushed into the Paragon Board leveling system, Nightmare Dungeons and new grinds to ensure their character's building is as strong as it can be.

Glyphs play a crucial role in this development. The higher the Glyph's upgrade levels boosts its stats and its radius of impact on the Paragon Board. There are a handful of ways to acquire these upgrades, but most players will be relying on the most common method: raiding Faction Crypts.

Glyphs allows you to add symbols to your text. You can choose from the menu on the left side of the screen. A custom glyph set can include the maximum number of glyphs, 31, including both the base name and its suffix. The base name must contain uppercase English alphabetic letters (A-Z) and lowercase English alphabetic letters (a-z), European numbers (0-9), underscore (_), and other glyphs. The suffix can also include ligatures, or contextual alternative. These are special versions which combine two or more letters into a single glyph.

Reroll Tokens

Upgrades are the principal mechanic that gives extra benefits on items, including additional stats. These upgrades are available in three different types: rerolling and recycling and leveling up. Each type offers a distinct set of bonuses that are added to the item.

Reroll Tokens are used to alter the item's base stats and upgrade numbers. They can also be used to reroll substats in rings. This can be beneficial if an Best item upgrade item Upgrade (3.13.251.167)'s fully upgraded (or "potential") power is lower than a player desires, or if the item's current substats are not ideal.

Rerolling an item is costing 1 token. It resets the upgrades, however it will keep the rarity, set, and level unaffected. The choice of a franchise card through the Blueprint Desk will allow you to obtain certain equipment or ingredients needed in certain recipes. Some Appliances and Ingredients are considered staples, which means that they will never be available at the Shop or through a reroll, whereas others have a higher likelihood of being available if a particular Franchise Card is chosen from the Blueprint Desk. The Staple Pool is where all the items will be for the duration of the game. When purchased from the Blueprint Desk, non-staple equipment is also transferred to the Seed Pool.

Recycled Items

The third "R," recycle, is where the magic truly happens. You can benefit the environment by recycling a product that is made of recycled material. Most recycled products are sent back to their original manufacturer to be remade as a new item. We call this "closing of the loop of recycling."

When a person places something into their recycling bin at the curb the item upgrader is sent to a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) where it is separated and divided into its various components. From there it can be sold to manufacturers of end-users to make something new. Items that are typically transformed into new products include:

This process reduces the necessity to harvest, cultivate or extract raw materials in order to make something else. This reduces the damage caused to nature. Less trees are cut down, rivers are diverted, and wild animals are displaced. This also reduces the amount of pollution caused by dumping raw material into our water, soil and air.

As an added bonus, purchasing recycled products help keep local jobs and businesses in business, particularly those that specialize in manufacturing products from recycled materials. The demand for recycled items encourages businesses to participate in this environmentally friendly effort.

Another reason to buy recycled is that it requires less energy to make new products from recycled materials than it does to make them from raw materials. The process of manufacturing a new aluminum container requires 95% more energy than the process of making a can made of recycled materials. This is why every little bit counts.

Leveling

Most units are able to increase their level, giving them more XP each time they fight or get attacked. The XP used for this is used to unlock upgrades or to increase the stats of the unit. Weapons are an excellent example, as they can level up and increase their damage as well as range.
